Update

Every day I tell myself I'm going to blog.  Then the day begins and rolls along busily until nighttime when I'm too tired to move.

Swim team ended and at first I didn't know what to do and then I began to look outside the box and realize I can take my kids out alone (it's always scared me ever since we added the twins) and there are many options!  I try to find one fun thing to do with the kids each day so we're going out and about and they're having some fun.  This weekend we went to a craft show in a neighboring town.

Lilly loved her unicorn face painting...

...and Ella loved her horse.  Luke got very upset that Mommy wasn't willing to pay ($4) for him and Gabe so the lady was nice enough to paint a small heart on their hands.  They were super happy.
But there's nothing better than hammering a bunch of real nails with real hammers while being spotted by Daddy.

Today there was a free showing of Happy Feet at our local movie theater.  I was super nervous and prepared Lilly that we would likely be there for only 10 minutes.  The boys surprised me and lasted an hour!  Lilly and Ella didn't move but Luke started to get a little antsy so we headed out.  From there we went to a playground for an hour and then home for lunch and naps.  And I started my first day of exercise.  Yikes.
I can't believe summer is coming to an end and soon my life will consist of driving kids to school and picking up, homework and early bedtimes.  For now I'm savoring our last couple of weeks together.

Birthday Post, Take 1

The boys turned 2!

I've been working on this post for a week and I figured I better just post what I have and make it two parts before the boys are 3!

I ended up bagging the boys' birthday party because I felt overwhelmed and knew the boys wouldn't mind.  It turned out being a nice week of small celebrations and Aunt Stephanie and Bailee spent five days with us which made it even better.

The day before the boys' birthday we attended a graduation party where they sang Happy Birthday to the boys and they stood in line at the (root)beer keg.  Cracked me up...
On their birthday I took them to Chickfila.  They had a ball.

On their actual birthday night we hung out at the pool and enjoyed cake with everyone who was left on a stormy night.
*The voice you hear yelling "blow!" is not me.*

Later in the week we celebrated with our friends Jackie and Thomas and with Aunt Stephanie and Bailee.
More pics to come...

The boys are doing awesome.  They are starting to talk so much (Gabe took off big time this week) and they understand everything.  It's so cute!  They both hold up their pointer fingers and say they're "do" when asked how old they are.

We love our baby boys so much and can't believe they've been with us for two years already!
