Boys, boys, boys!!
I keep telling my friend Krissy that the boys are so different than my girls! I can't get over it. Together they are breaking everything in their paths. They have yanked a spindle from our staircase out and use the hole it creates to climb up the stairs (surpassing the baby gate), they tore off the entire wood door of a cabinet in our dining room, they have pulled out all of our vent covers and just today Luke disassembled each wooden slat, they broke three nightlights, Luke somehow broke through a cabinet safety latch, ripped open a very large bottle of Dawn dish soap and covered himself and the floor in a nice thick coat of soap, and so much more. The girls never did this sort of "exploring" if you will. I love our boys so much. They are sweet and fairly quiet about their destruction. Gabe isn't even walking yet so I'm scared to death about what's to come.
**True story: The other day I was taking a 2.2 minute shower while the babies were downstairs blocked by a baby gate at the bottom of the steps. I got out of the shower and witnessed Luke lifting the bottom of the baby gate and holding it up so Gabe could crawl under it and up the steps. It was unreal. It was like they had the perfect plan and executed it beautifully.

Figuring out he can lift, carry, and climb on a stool:
Learning to open the front door and come inside. Also learning to stand unassisted!!
Both babies have learned how to work the stove:

Yes, I'm buying protective covers for the knobs tomorrow... |
Gabe learned how to push the walker and he gets so proud of himself! He also gets so excited when he stands on his own. He'll sit down and clap for himself. I can't stand the cuteness.
Gabe loves doors. Loves them.
He will spend a great deal of time with anything he can open and close.
Trying to capture him standing unassisted:

Crazy excited face! |
Gabe has a huge cowlick across the entire base of his hairline. It cracks me up. It looks like his hair starts way up high.
Gabe may not be walking but it doesn't stop him from keeping up with the others.
Luke is so sweet and funny. He is also mischevious. If I tell him "no" he shakes his head no and stops whatever it was he was doing. Then, if he has the desire to do it again, he'll think about it and then shake his head no. It's so adorable. He also shakes his head "yes" when he likes something. Gabe can say, "Na na na" for "No no no."

Ha ha ha!!! Daddy glued the spindle back in!!! Score for the grown-ups! |
Luke loves to act like he's stuck. I get a huge kick out of this game of his. When we're in the grocery store he pretends over and over to get his arm stuck in the steering wheel of his little cart. He whines, "Uh uh uh" while making a face like he's in pain. He knows it makes me laugh and then he'll chuckle too. It's so cute. Well this day he pretended to be stuck in the staircase.

"Uh uh uh!" |
Luke has explored every inch of our yard (front and back). He climbs, pulls, bangs, runs, and looks for anything he can get into. He's much more quiet than Gabe but he's busier. Gabe is content to study how a door works, press the buttons on cars and trucks to hear the sirens, or observe everyone else. They are adorable together and I'm so glad they're ours!
