Father's Day Photo Shoot

I found a local photographer who was offering Father's Day mini photo shoots.  I contacted her and set up an appointment for our kids.  Next up was coordinating their outfits!!

We met the photographer, Lisa, at Smithfield Mansion in a town about 30 minutes away.  Little did I know this place was a gem!  We ended up staying 2 hours after the 20 minute photo session to explore the grounds.  Can't wait to go back sometime with Andy and the kids.

The group shot didn't turn out well...

Thankfully I thought quickly to have her do individual shots.
How hysterical is this?  So Gabe...

I ended up having them printed professionally and putting them side by side in a frame for Andy's Father's Day gift.

"Hey, let's get a group shot!"

 "Ok, boys, can you smile?"
There was a really cool shrub maze.

After we explored the area right around where the pictures were taken we went further through the fields and found huge holes with cones.  We later realized these were groundhog holes.  We saw sooo many groundhogs and groundhog babies popping in and out of these holes.  It was so cool.

After walking the fields, we found water.  This place is so big!

I love unexpected adventures.  They make for the greatest of days. By the time we were done exploring it was 7 p.m. and we headed on our journey home.

A Very Princess Cabaret

I took the girls to a night of Disney princess songs at a beautiful old local theater. Our friends joined us for a girls' night out.

The theater was so quaint and pretty. The girls were very excited.
We were surprised to find all of the seating was on the stage! The girls sat in the front row

It was fun hearing all of our favorite Disney songs.
We had a wonderful night out!!

Catch-Up

There are pictures on my computer that I just wanted to share to bring this blog up to date!

The boys on one of their last days of preschool.  This year they attended 1 day a week with me in a Toddler Class.  It was so much fun and they really learned a lot.
Their official last day with their teachers Mrs. Logue and Mrs. Pappas.  Great teachers and a great preschool.
Luke giving Mrs. Pappas (also the director) a hug on his last day.
Ella hugging her teacher Mrs. Kotch on her last day.  Ella had a great year and her teachers loved her.

This spring we spent many mornings preparing the swim club for the summer.  The kids were so good going with me most mornings for a few hours.
Gabe helping me spread mulch.  He worked so hard and pushed the wheelbarrow very far for 3 hours and dumped the mulch (in random spots but hey, I'll take it).

This picture cracks me up.  Luke was happy as all get out since he spent most of the morning eating pretzels.  Ha!  Look at Gabe's face.  Exhaustion.
Mowing day!!!
Watering the flowers after we planted!
*Notice who's doing all the work...
Relaxing
Playing the flute with her dogs...
Lilly, Miss Independent, rides her bike everywhere.
Oliver is doing well.  Sweetest dog ever.
Hmmmmm...
Andy's worked very hard on our yard.  He planted grass seed and some new trees.
The boys on their new scooters.  They each picked their favorite colors.
Lilly wore her "reading" glasses almost every day to school.  It wasn't until the end of the year that some of the staff at the school realized they were fake.
Boobies!
Pool is open for summer!!
Remember sweet Marcel whom I was the guardian for?  I've had his wife's ashes since she passed and when he passed I kept his ashes in a special place.  When I sold his house a few years ago, I took some of the rose bushes from his yard.  His wife was a devoted rosarian and at one point their yard was gorgeous.  The rose bushes have grown so beautifully in our yard so I decided to spread their ashes there...

Chillin' outside of Lilly's gymnastics class on a beautiful day.

Lilly wanted a mother/daughter picture.  Sweet.
While visiting Andy's brother in Rehobeth Delaware for our niece's graduation party, we drove down the road to let the kids see the ocean.  It was the boys' first time I believe! They ran to the water!

I am going to try very hard to keep this blog current!  My babies are growing so fast and I want to make sure it's all documented.
