Chatham

Steph and Mike wanted to take us to Chatham. It's a quaint town located on the elbow of Cape Cod, half way between Falmouth and Provincetown. It is a beautiful drive into Chatham from Steph and Mike's house. It took us about 30 minutes.

The town has a main street with shops lining both sides of the street. We ate lunch at The Squire and everyone (but me) had lobster rolls. It is a very popular restaurant; people started lining up outside before it opened. Then we hit the shops. I didn't even buy anything!! Before we headed out they gave Lilly (another) gift - a Cape Cod t-shirt so I didn't need to buy one. They're way too generous.

Jordie and Lilly outside The Squire.

Me and Steph. I was very happy to be there even though my half smile doesn't make it evident.
When we came home the kids crashed and Steph set to work on a delicious dinner (shrimp fettucini alfredo). Ella thinks baby Ryan is really fascinating. She loves to touch him and climb up on his bouncy seat. Look at his face... I think he's terrified for his life.
I am loving the English gardens up here. They are beautiful. Everyone has the same assortment of plants and they're all in bloom. I want to try to duplicate it in our yard but I'm not sure we have the proper soil (with sand) to make them thrive. Here are some pictures of yards in Steph's neighborhood.
