Day 2 on the Cape

This is Steph and Mike's house. It is beautiful. The lot is gorgeous. Their neighborhood is fabulous. I want it.
Yesterday we prepped and planned and packed for a beach trip. We worked for a couple hours to prepare for this excursion. The beach is only 2 miles from the house but we wanted to have everything we needed.

It's always exciting to see the beach for the first time in the summer.
Ella's very first time seeing the ocean. She immediately took a handful of sand and ate it. Then another. And another.
3 adults.
2 preschoolers.
2 babies.
4 bags.
2 coolers.
3 chairs.
2 umbrellas.
20 minutes.
Black clouds.
Heavy rain.
People running.
Kids crying.

Day at Sandy Neck Beach... priceless.

We quickly came back to the house, bathed the kids and put them all down for naps. While they slept and Andy read, Steph and I headed out to this little farmer's market.

See the farmhand eating raw corn as he shucks it?
We also stopped at a local shop. We learned a lot about a local artist and designer. Then headed home to our kiddies.

Baby Ryan loves to giggle. Lilly loves to make him giggle.
Jordan's eyes... so beautiful.
For dinner we grilled out and enjoyed burgers and pasta salad (Steph makes a delicious pasta salad).
Today it is sunny and we're heading to the beach for take 2.
