St. Andrew's Visit

This morning we visited St. Andrew's where Lilly will be attending school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings this year. After last year's attempt at preschool I have been worried I will have to live through another few weeks of anxiety but I am confident after today that Lilly will be more than fine. She actually told me she didn't want me to go. But I did, with Ella in tow, and we spent about an hour in her room. She was very manic all morning and went from one activity to another with great excitement. Her teachers are all very nice (there are 3) and Lilly didn't want to leave. That makes me very happy.

I didn't want to whip out my big camera so toward the end I just pulled it out of my bag and snapped a few pictures from where I was sitting. Needless to say they are not great. Here is Lilly in her new classroom.

I'm happy to report that I was not nervous or sad. I was totally at ease since she was happy. I held Ella in the Baby Bjorn (she's so heavy) and sat back and watched Lilly enjoy her exploration.

Monday I am going to class with her for an hour (parent stays with child for an hour). Tuesday I am dropping her off and then attending a parent meeting while she's in an abbreviated class. And Wednesday she goes alone again but this time I'll be heading home. Or driving around while Ella naps. Either way I know that I will be fine this year sending Lilly to school and am so glad we waited another year.
