Big Girl Bed

I have had so much to blog about but haven't had the time!!! Today, I devoted the afternoon to blogging!!! Some will show up today and others will show up on subsequent days.

**Lilly woke after a 20 min nap - so much for blogging all afternoon!**

Today is day 5 of sleeping in a big girl bed for Lilly. It's been very interesting to say the least. She (of course) loves to get out of her bed and exhibit total control over her little universe. I have tried various tactics to get her to stay in her bed and go to sleep. Last night I had a breakthrough! I decided she's 2 and surely I can beat her at her own game. So I told her that she didn't have to go to bed. I told her she could read books. I told her she could pick her pajamas (she's constantly changing her pajamas). I left. She never got out of bed (that I knew of) and she read books until she literally passed out...

This morning she showed up in bed with me and I noticed she wasn't in the pajamas she'd picked the night before but hey, she went to bed and that's all that matters.

And by the way - thank you Grandmother for the neon yellow Sponge Bob pajamas. Lilly puts them on every single day. And as you can see in these pictures she must have gotten up last night and taken off her footie pajamas and put Sponge Bob back on. I'm about to hide them BUT they are great leverage when I need her to do something...
