Sleeplessness

Do I look tired to you?
My sweet Ella is keeping me up all night. She's tired. I'm tired. I don't really know what to do. The problem is she wants me. I usually do the nights alone and of course it's me all day long so I guess she's become quite fond of me. Unfortunately she doesn't want Andy soothing her so I am up and down the hall 5-10 times a night. And then, when Lilly wakes up by 7 a.m. I'm an overtired mess. Many mornings I don't have any recollection of the last time I fed Ella or when I last went to her. I guess that's exhaustion amnesia or something similar. I'm hoping it passes very very soon. Poor baby is so tired and so is Momma.

I've been so tired, we've stayed home for 3 days and today I had to get Lilly out to do something fun. I can't punish her for my tiredness! We went to our local mall that's been completely renovated. It is gorgeous! I told my friend Kristen that we were going and she and Lindsay met us there. We took the girls to Build-A-Bear Workshop since Lilly had a birthday coupon. She chose a pink Unicorn that she named "Ballet."

I forgot my camera and turned around and drove home to get it when Lilly begged me not to take it so I drove away without it. It was sooo hard for me not to take pictures and I ended up spending the whole day thinking about which pictures I would have taken. I did take a couple with my cell phone. Here are the girls giving their animals a bath...

It was a fun day - we walked the mall and had lunch in the new food court. The girls had a blast and Ella dozed on and off in the stroller. I had decided I would let Lilly skip her nap and just enjoy the time with her friend. As we were leaving the mall Kristen and I decided to duck into Baby Gap quickly. Right after we got into the store Lilly and Lindsay must have had a disagreement (they were under a rack of clothes) and they yelled at one another and then Lindsay came out crying.

Lilly bit her arm!! She has never bitten anyone before. I do not know what they were fighting about nor did I see what happened but Lindsay had teeth marks on her arm. I disciplined Lilly then had her look at Lindsay's arm. She got very very upset, hung her head, and almost cried. She said, "Fwiendsy I pwomise I will never ever bite you again!" and then continued to ask her if she was ok. I'm not sure why she did it. I was embarrassed but Kristen is a good friend and not much phases her. I really don't think she'll ever do it again - I'm not sure she really understood what would happen when she bit someone but now she knows.

When we got home she rested with Ballet.
She does not do well without her daily nap. She ended up passing out at 7 p.m.
As I write this post Andy and I have been upstairs tending to a crying Ella for 3 straight hours. She is such a good girl and so very pleasant all day long. Everyone comments on how quiet and calm she is. She goes with the flow and is a happy baby. But come nighttime... she wants her Momma. I'm tempted to just bring her into bed with me but I know I won't sleep well and I don't want to start that habit. Only time will tell...
