I'm old. Can't believe I'm 35. Not sure how that happened. I feel young so that's all that matters. For my birthday I got a new lens for my camera; best gift ever. Thanks Andy!!! I also got a nice card from the girls, a new Brita (mine broke when I dropped it), and mystery balloons on my front lawn (a BIG RED 3 and 5 with others). It's been a perfect day and it started out great.
We went to Sahara Sam's Water Park with our friend Kristen and her daughters Lindsay and Christina. We have a friend in common who owns the park and opened it up privately (and free!) to about 30 friend with 3 year olds. It is a very very cool place. What makes it even cooler? I didn't even have to wear my bathing suit! Bonus.
There is a toddler section with lifeguards, slides, fountains, and more. Lilly had a blast and was not afraid whatsoever (she is fearful in our neighborhood pool).
The place is big. It has so much to do but we stayed in the toddler pool. Lilly considered going on the large Tim-Buk-Tu in the center of the park but it was a bit scary as water randomly erupts from all over.
She settled for playing in a very large water table.
Ella was a trooper and hung out the whole time. I was hoping she'd sleep but she was too interested in what was going on. Not to mention the chlorine burn in our eyes was insane.
Ella did enjoy one water spout in the toddler area. She tried to drink it.
Lindsay and Lilly
By noon we'd had enough fun and both girls wanted so crash. Lilly came right home and climbed into her bed and Ella passed out in the car.
I can't wait to go again as a family so I can go on many of the slides and lazy river with Lilly. It was too hard for me to attempt alone and I hate to pass Ella off to my friend (though she's so sweet and offered).
It's been a wonderful day. Here's to 35 more.
*If this has a gazillion typos I apologize - no time to reread and edit as both girls are on top of me and this was near impossible to even write.
