Art Class

Since Lilly is no longer going to preschool I found and art class and a gym class for her so we have something to do. This week we're attending a free trial class of each. Today was art. She loved it. There were 6 kids with their mommies and we all sat on the floor on a big canvas in an art room. The kids wore smocks and play clothes. The class started with a hello song and then the kids got a snack and a juice box while the teacher read a book about various animals found on a farm. She talked to the kids about what they see on a farm and the sounds the animals make. Lilly was an eager participator! Then they created a farm art project. They had to follow directions, pick up their supplies, count out supplies, cut, tear, glue, sponge paint, etc. and clean up all supplies. Lilly really enjoyed it. She followed directions and took her project very seriously! Here is the farm she created all on her own...

She came home talking about it and how she wanted to go back again. That's the spirit I was hoping for with preschool! I'm glad we found something she's excited to do. I am also looking forward to going again next Monday.
