We were all bundled up for the walk. We were part of Team Celiac for our friend Evey Bell. She's 5 years old and has diabetes and Celiac's Disease. They are an amazing family and good friends.
The Bell's have four kids. Andy taught the oldest (Ashley) and I taught the middle two (Janey and Riley) in second grade. Here's Janey helping people find our team.
Celiac Central! I didn't even have a coat that fit. This coat is from either middle school or high school. Pretty sad.
This was the highlight of Lilly's day! ELMO!!! There were so many vendors, free food, entertainment, music...
Team Celiac!
We did not end up walking the 4 miles. I am very thankful that we made this decision since I can hardly move just from walking around and spending 2+ hours there. I have really bad sciatica this pregnancy and find myself hardly able to stand at times. When everyone set out to walk we headed for the playground. Lilly took a break to eat a soft pretzel (Andy laughed at all the free food I accumulated). We arrived at the walk before 9am and a little after 11am Lilly said, "I want to go home and go to sleep in my bed." Here she is all tuckered out. We have a busy day ahead with a Halloween party and friends sleeping over so we headed home.
