Sweet Jesus

Lilly and I had a really nice day together. Early this morning we headed to an orthodontist appointment for Mommy. They love Lilly to pieces there. The doctor and all the girls that work there go out of their way to play with her and accommodate her. She loves to go as well. Sometimes Dr. Foley will look at her teeth and tell her how pretty they are. I'm hoping after spending two years with me at the orthodontist every month she won't have any problem visiting a dentist when the time comes.

After the orthodontist we headed to Gymboree to find a pair of brown leggings for Lilly since her original pair sits halfway up her leg (she's growing and I refuse to see it I guess!). Most of her fall/winter clothes have brown so brown leggings were key to her wardrobe! I found a pair and 2 summer outfits for new baby girl on clearance. Hope I'm guessing right on the size.

It was at Gymboree that we lost our FIRST hair bow. Lilly has never lost a bow. She takes them out sometimes but always hands them to me. Well she went in with it (white at that!) and left without it. We scoured the store for it and did not find it. They lady took my name and said she's be on the lookout. I'm sure she thinks I'm nuts.

From Gymboree we headed to Haddonfield to a maternity/baby boutique (looking for a nursing bra). I found a bra AND a new diaper bag (finally) that I really like. It's very comfortable and roomy yet looks like a purse...

We then headed to lunch at the Corner Bistro. A girls' lunch! I won't have many more with Lilly alone which was very bittersweet. We had a great time.

When we got home Lilly passed out for over 3 hours! I was too lazy to wake her (hate waking sleeping babies and rarely have done it) so she didn't get up until 4:45 p.m.! So I decided she needed lots of exercise if she was going to go to bed at a decent hour (it's 9:05 p.m. and she's still reading out loud in her crib) and we headed outside. She rode her bike and played with neighbors until 7 p.m. Then we came home and made mac & cheese and oatmeal cookies.

Last weekend when Papa and Nana Kay came for a visit they brought Lilly some goodies from Mama (Grandmother). One was a long gold necklace with a heart-shaped pendant with praying hands on it. Lilly immediately said, "Jesus!" when she saw it. When we went to the pumpkin patch and she walked in she saw a statue and with her hands out-stretched she yelled, "JESUS!" I have talked to her about Jesus and we sing songs about Jesus but to my knowledge she has not seen a picture of Jesus. Sometimes she'll have conversations with I-don't-know-who and then she'll say, "Ok Jesus" or something similar. Well tonight she was cherishing her "Jesus necklace" from Mama before bed. Here she is watching The Goodnight Show with her necklace...
And showing Mommy the necklace...
I'm not sure who or what she sees but it's starting to freak me out! I guess the imagination of a 2 year old is very active... or is it?
